To raise awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace and in particular to:
- The importance of a positive safety culture
- How to be aware of risk and how to manage it
- Legislation and our responsibilities
HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK COURSE CONTENT:
- What is Health & Safety and why do we need it
- Legislation – the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and how it effects us
- Awareness of regulations such as the 2007 to 2016 General Application regulations and how they effect us
- Employee & Employer duties and responsibilities
- How to perform a risk assessment and control those risks
- What is in a Safety Statement and why do we need one
- The definition of a Safety Culture and why it is so important
- Question and answer session particular to the delegates own workplace
COURSE OUTCOME:
- Successful delegates will receive a SafetyTraining.ie Health & Safety Awareness Certificate
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- All of our courses are delivered using the English language so delegates must also have a good command of English both written and spoken so the course can be fully understood. You are welcome to bring an interpreter with you to class if you choose but we would ask to be informed of this when booking
