RECOGNISING AND RESPONDING TO ELDER ABUSE COURSE CONTENT:
- Know the definition of elder abuse
- Have knowledge of types of elder abuse
- Learn the Legislation relating to elder abuse
- Learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of elder abuse
- Understand the role and responsibilities of teams delivering care
- Learn how to support carers
- Learn how to support staff caring for the elderly
- Learn how to reporting suspected Elder Abuse
COURSE OUTCOME:
- Successful delegates will receive a Recognising and Responding to Elder Abuse Certificate which is valid for 3 years.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- All of our courses are delivered using the English language so delegates must also have a good command of English both written and spoken so the course can be fully understood. You are welcome to bring an interpreter with you to class if you choose but we would ask to be informed of this when booking
